About the role
In this critical role, you’ll work closely with the CEO to define and operationalise high-performance processes that will level up the life-changing impact of this iconic social startup. As our first People Ops hire, you will build a new People Operations function that will drive Beam’s continued growth.
This role is instrumental to delivering Beam’s mission, with a focus on scaling people processes and using data to ensure that we accelerate our top performing people and sensitively and openly handle teammates struggling with performance issues.
This is a role for a true all-rounder who loves working with data and people. As well as flexing your data and operational muscles, you’ll be adept at having impactful and difficult conversations, with experience here from your track record as a manager and leader. This role has exceptional progression potential through to Director level - and potentially - to a C-Suite role for sustained excellent performance.
You'll be
Leading a small but growing team that you will support, mentor and develop
Using and analysing data to manage performance at all levels, identifying trends and driving informed decisions
Overseeing the end-to-end people experience lifecycle, spotting opportunities and improvements to our culture
Facilitating and safeguarding employee movements, from promotions to performance and talent reviews
Working directly with C-Suite leaders to develop your strategic and commercial skills
You'll have
Strong startup operations background - we’re open to any kind of ops experience in a fast-paced environment
Strong data-driven approach with proven ability to build and refine processes for efficiency and impact
Track record driving high-performance as part of a team, as a manager and ideally as leader
Experience managing performance at all levels, leading challenging conversations, and handling sensitive performance situations
Expertise in coaching and developing managers to foster accountability and growth
