Head of Performance
Uncompromising about high-performance and love working with data? Help define and deliver excellence alongside the CEO of this iconic startup.
At Beam, you get to do work that matters for the world. We’re solving the world's toughest social problems with an incredible team, tech and AI. And we’re growing fast 🚀
It’s not easy. Nothing worth doing ever is. But we take care of everyone who works here — from coaching and personal budgets to competitive pay.
You’ll be joining a company that’s having a huge positive impact, with a high-performance culture where you can grow our business, enjoy your career and rapidly progress.
About the role
In this critical role, you’ll work closely with the CEO and other leaders to define and operationalise high-performance frameworks and processes that will take the impact of this iconic startup to new heights.
This role is instrumental in delivering Beam’s mission, as is the Performance team you'll found and lead. You'll define and scale performance-related people processes and work hands-on with data to fairly, consistently recognise high and low performance.
While flexing your data and operational muscles, you’ll be comfortable working with our People and other teams, leveraging your track record as a manager, even if you veer more to the IC track than the manager track.
This role has exceptional progression potential through to Director level - and potentially - to C-Suite for sustained excellent performance.
You'll be
Leading a small but growing Performance and People Ops team that you will support, mentor and develop.
Defining and measuring values-based performance at all levels and in different roles.
Using data to identify performance trends at individual and team levels, driving informed decisions across Beam.
Setting and leveraging compensation - including salaries, bonuses and equity to attract and retain the best mission-driven talent.
You'll have
Strong startup operational background - we’re open to any kind of ops experience in a fast-paced environment.
Strong data skills - including Google Sheets, with proven ability to design and roll out clean operational processes.
Track record of driving high-performance - in a team, as a manager, and ideally, as a leader.
Passion for AI - ability to know when and how to deploy it to increase execution efficiency and velocity.
Experience working in a data team - investment banking or consulting is preferred, but not required.
