About the role
We’re looking for a dynamic AI Trust and Safety Associate to champion compliance at the UK's leading social impact startup. In this hands-on role, you'll collaborate directly with our Chief Information Security Officer, playing a pivotal part in our growth and the evolution of our product's integrity.
You’ll be:
At the forefront of shaping our product's future: Ensuring trust and safety is pivotal in the development process. This is a dynamic, hands-on role where you'll directly influence how we innovate responsibly with cutting-edge tech and AI.
A Trusted Advisor: You'll be the go-to expert for our customers, expertly navigating their technical security questionnaires, privacy assessments, and follow-up questions, building confidence and showcasing our commitment to their data protection.
A Champion For Proactive Risk Management: Take ownership of our risk register, collaborating across teams to define robust action plans and ensure our risk assessments are always sharp and up to date.
Drive Strategic Vendor Partnerships: Play a pivotal role in shaping our ecosystem by identifying and assessing new vendors, working with stakeholders across the entire business – from HR and policy to product, sales, and service – to ensure they meet our high standards.
Lead Groundbreaking Compliance Initiatives: As Beam expands into new geographies and verticals, you'll have the unique opportunity to develop innovative policies and practices to meet evolving standards and successfully navigate external audits.
Shape a Growing Function: This role offers a chance to build and define a critical new function within a rapidly scaling company. Your remit will expand as we do, offering a truly holistic and generalist career move with significant opportunities for progression.
*You don't have to be deeply experienced in compliance or trust and safety. In this role you will get to see how a fast paced startup works and runs, get involved with lots of varying projects and learn about compliance, GDPR, data protection and more along the way!
You are:
Detail-Oriented: You have a strong ability to spot and rectify small mistakes and inconsistencies, understanding that precision is key, especially when we're externally audited and closely scrutinised by our customers.
Organised: You thrive on managing multiple tasks and priorities, whilst keeping stakeholders updated and informed.
Eager to Learn and Technically Curious: While you might not know it all yet, you're comfortable diving into technical information and engaging with the details of how data flows across our tools and underlying product infrastructure.
A Proactive Problem-Solver: You don't wait for solutions; you actively seek them out and action them.
A Clear and Engaging Communicator: You engage stakeholders, break down complex compliance nuances in a clear way, and are an active listener.
Driven by Impact, with Humility: You're hungry to contribute to meaningful work and approach challenges with a humble attitude.
Excited by the Potential of Tech and AI: You see the incredible possibilities that technology and AI offer to create positive change and are eager to be part of that journey.
