About the role
We’re looking for a Head of People to join our growing people function.
You will build a new People Function that delivers high-impact programmes to support Beam on its incredible journey. This brand new role is instrumental in delivering the People Strategy as you will lead People Operations, Talent Management, Learning & Development and introduce business partnering to the organisation. This is a great stepping stone to a People Director position and you will have the opportunity to shape the role, function and significantly contribute to defining and embedding Beam’s high-performance culture.
Please note this role is hybrid, based out of our UK HQ in London, requiring a minimum two days per week in our office in Shoreditch. Unfortunately, we are unable to sponsor visas at this time.
You’ll experience
Leading a small but growing team that you will support, mentor and develop.
Overseeing the end-to-end people experience lifecycle, spotting opportunities and improvements to our culture.
Facilitate and safeguard employee movements, from promotions to performance and talent reviews.
The space and autonomy to challenge and drive a progressive people agenda.
Working directly with C-Suite leaders to develop your strategic and commercial skills.
Working beyond process and policy, by using your curiosity and problem-solving skills to make a real difference.
You’ll have
Solid People Operations experience covering all the HR basics including employment law.
Experience in organisation design and effectiveness, supporting a fast-growing business to iterate enabling us to scale.
A natural ability to think analytically, using data and hands-on spreadsheet work to inform and evolve our plans.
Ability to drive a culture of high performance using simple but effective performance management.
Experience in upskilling first-time line managers to be effective and impactful/
The appetite to broaden your experience to cover talent management, succession planning and more.

Ability to ensure all aspects of People Operations are in place, as well as employee relations, systems, procedures and key practices.

30-minute video call with a member of the Talent team
Interview with a member of the People team and timed scenario-based tasks, giving you a better sense of the role
Interview with members of the People team
Final interview with one member of the Beam team
