Head of Services

As Beam’s Head of Services, you’re a talented and entrepreneurial all-rounder who thrives at the intersection of people, processes and digital product. You love building teams and understand that a world-changing Tech for Good needs to hire and develop amazing talent.

Responsibilities

  • Building and leading Beam’s growing team of world-class caseworkers (known as ‘Member Managers’)
  • Overseeing all frontline work undertaken by Beam with the people referred by our referral partners
  • Iterating and optimising the ‘Member Journey’: a set of scalable, operational processes designed to support disadvantaged people through launching campaigns, completing training, and starting work
  • Taking overall responsibility for Member Support KPIs and being a data-driven problem solver while remaining deeply empathic
  • Providing a safe pair of hands to hold critical relationships with our amazing charity and local government partners


Requirements

  • >2 years high-quality managerial experience in a startup, social enterprise or the homelessness sector
  • Passion for innovation and social impact and committed to promoting equality of opportunity in London and far beyond
  • Experience building and inspiring teams and developing potential in others
  • Experience creating and scaling operational or end-to-end customer processes  
  • Experience designing and scaling management process, including onboarding new staff members and providing incredible 1-1 support
  • Highly detail-oriented and risk-aware while working with integrity and openness
  • Entrepreneurial, get things done attitude
  • Highly adaptable, personable and excited to work with people from diverse backgrounds
